Tailgating

Checked at the source
The heart of pregame outside DKR: the Bevo Parade, the team's Stadium Stampede, live DJs, games, autographs and a live Texas Gameday broadcast. Outside the northwest corner: 10-plus Austin food trucks, beer on tap at the Big Beertha bar, shade and TVs. Opens 3 hours before kickoff. Free pregame concerts on the LBJ Lawn with national and regional acts, plus postgame shows after select games. Family area on the north side of the stadium with midway games, fair food and access to the Hall of Fame. Gear market on the Moody Center plaza with a cocktail garden and a photo with Big Bertha, the band's bass drum. Lots open at 7 AM (6 AM for 11 AM kickoffs) with no overnight parking. CapMetro says its buses get you to the tailgate.

Getting in

  • Bag policy: Clear plastic bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a one-gallon clear resealable bag, or a clutch smaller than 4.5 x 6.5 inches.

Touring the stadium

After the final whistle
