Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
Free game-day lots. Walk to Tiger Stadium. Tiger Trails campus buses to LSU campus.

Tailgating

Checked at the source
The Parade Ground is the big open lawn packed with tailgaters. Fans also set up around the Greek Amphitheater, the campus mounds and Touchdown Village. Tailgate setup on interior campus starts after 4:30 PM on the Friday before the game. Exterior campus opens after 5 PM Thursday. All gear must be gone by noon Sunday. No tent stakes: weigh tents down. Tents can't sit in traffic lanes, sidewalks or landscaped beds, and can't save parking spaces. Grills can be up to the size of a 55-gallon drum and must stay 10 feet from buildings with a fire extinguisher nearby. LSU strongly discourages glass at tailgates. Music goes off at midnight Friday and 2 AM after the game. Motor homes park in Touchdown Village 1, Lot 401, Lots 408 and 409 by Alex Box Stadium, and Lot 413 on River Road. Lot 413 opens 5 PM Thursday, 408 and 409 at 9 AM Friday, 401 and Touchdown Village at 5 PM Friday. Buy permits at LSUtix.net. Leave by noon the day after the game. The Fan Zone across from Tiger Stadium opens five hours before kickoff with food trucks and live music.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: Clear tote bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a small clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches.
  • Re-entry: No re-entry. Leaving the stadium means you need a new, unused ticket to return.

Touring the stadium

From a specialist guide
Mike VII lives in a 15,000 square foot habitat between Tiger Stadium and the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. It is open to visitors year round and free to see.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
Each parking zone has a set exit route after the game. LSU runs a custom Waze game-day map with live postgame routes, so load it before you leave your lot.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Don't bring an umbrella, a noisemaker or a bag bigger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches. Tiger Stadium is also a no re-entry venue: once you leave, you need a new ticket to get back in.
