  • University Hill. 5 to 15 min by walk. Hotels on The Hill, including the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and the Crowne Plaza, with Marshall Street close by.
  • Downtown and Armory Square. 15 to 20 min. car or rideshare. Bars, restaurants and Dinosaur Bar-B-Que.
  • Airport area. 20 min by car. About seven miles from downtown.

Tailgate only in the lined space directly in front of or behind your car; other spaces can't be used. Skytop on South Campus is the single-game lot for cars ($35), RVs ($45) and buses ($65), with a shuttle to the Dome included. All RVs must park at Skytop. Lots open 4 hours before a Saturday kickoff and 2.5 hours before a Friday kickoff. No open flame of any kind, propane or charcoal, in university parking garages. No excessive drinking on university property; impaired fans can be turned away at the Dome.

  • Bag policy: One 12 x 6 x 12 inch clear tote or a one-gallon clear bag, plus a 4.5 x 6.5 inch clutch. There is no bag check, so take other bags back to your car.
  • Cashless: Food, drink and merchandise stands are cashless: cards and mobile pay only.

After the game, shuttle riders head to College Place through Gates E, N or P for buses back to Skytop and Lally. During the game the shuttle runs every 15 minutes from College Place.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Without a season pass, stay off I-81 Exit 18 and the Main Campus lots by the Dome, which are sold out. Use I-81 Exit 17 (Brighton Ave) or I-481 Exit 81 for Skytop.

  • Dinosaur Bar-B-Que

    246 W. Willow St, Syracuse, NY 13202

    The flagship, open since 1988 in a building from the early 1920s, serving slow-smoked barbecue and local beer on several levels.

    Away fans: walk-in barbecue and blues joint; everyone ends up here.
