What we know about Huntington Bank Field

Where visiting fans stay

Checked at the source
  • Downtown Cleveland. 15 min. walk via West 3rd Street or East 9th Street. The stadium sits at the bottom of downtown, not out of town. Tower City Center, the transit hub for every RTA line, including the airport train, is about a 15-minute walk away. Downtown hotels are close: Hilton Cleveland Downtown (0.2 mi), Cleveland Marriott Downtown (0.4 mi), Westin (0.4 mi). The Warehouse District and East 4th Street have the bars. The lakefront has nothing after the game.

Around the stadium

Checked at the source
None. There is no bar and restaurant cluster at the stadium itself. The stadium sits boxed in between Lake Erie, the Shoreway, and the rail cut. The official site says pedestrian access is limited to two streets: fans can only enter via West 3rd or East 9th. The nearest real cluster is the Warehouse District, just south of the tracks.

Getting in from the airport

Checked at the source
CLE, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. 30 minutes via GCRTA Red Line, direct from the terminal to Tower City downtown.

Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
GCRTA Waterfront Line (Blue/Green/Waterfront) to West 3rd Street Station. Runs only on Browns home game days and select major events, since December 2025. Get off at West 3rd Street Station, across the street from the stadium. The line ends at South Harbor Station inside the Muni Lot. GCRTA Red Line from Cleveland Hopkins Airport to Tower City, about 30 min. Tower City is about a 15-minute walk to the stadium via West 3rd Street. Or transfer to the Waterfront Line. Walk from downtown, about 15 min. Restricted to West 3rd Street or East 9th Street. Both cross bridges over the rail cut that separates downtown from the lakefront.

Tailgating

From a specialist guide
Walk-up tailgating works here, the standout find for Cleveland. The Muni Lot tailgate, the most famous in the AFC, needs no car. On Browns home game days, the RTA Waterfront Line runs from Tower City past the stadium at West 3rd Street Station and ends at South Harbor Station, inside the Municipal Parking Lot itself. RTA runs a branded VICTORY bus with refreshments in the lot. The pregame party starts two hours before kickoff. One catch: the City bans open containers, alcohol, and public intoxication in the lot. That rule restates Cleveland Codified Ordinance 617.07 and Ohio Revised Code 4301.62(B), a fourth-degree misdemeanor, unchanged across four seasons, and the City can't waive it. In practice, people drink there anyway, and enforcement varies by day. Still, plan on the rule applying. The Browns and the stadium publish nothing about the Muni Lot; its rules come only from the City. You're joining private tailgates run by other fans, there's no ticketed hospitality village here. Muni Lot, the Cleveland Municipal Parking Lot. Reach it on foot or by the RTA Waterfront Line, which runs from Tower City to South Harbor Station inside the lot on Browns home game days. Pedestrians can enter; a fee applies and changes per game. For typical 1 p.m. weekend games the lot opens at 5 a.m. For evening games, the east portion opens at noon and the west portion at 5 p.m. Times vary by game, check the City's game-day notice for yours.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags up to 12" x 12" x 6" are allowed. Official NFL team-logo clear totes of the same size are fine too, along with a one-gallon clear freezer bag or a small non-clear bag up to 4.5" x 6.5". Diaper bags, nursing bags, and medical bags go through the medical exception entrances for inspection. Bags that don't comply go to the Bag Check Tent at the stadium's southwest corner. Cost is $20, credit card only, pickup within 30 minutes of the final whistle.
  • Re-entry: Not allowed. The stadium's own policy covers this directly. The only exception is a medical emergency.
  • Prohibited items: Leave at home: backpacks, binocular cases, camera bags, mesh bags, tote bags, and patterned or tinted plastic bags over 12" x 6" x 12". Umbrellas and strollers can't come inside but can be checked. No outside drinks. Standard bans apply on weapons, drones, and fireworks. Still cameras are allowed if they don't bother other fans. Banners and signs are fine if they don't block a view.

Touring the stadium

Checked at the source
No public stadium tours run at Huntington Bank Field, on game days or any other day. Only private group tours are available, arranged by email with Guest Services. Don't sell a day-before stadium tour here.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
Waterfront Line service runs after the game until all passengers clear West 3rd Street Station. Extra rail service keeps running after the game as long as needed. RTA's 2026 game pages give a fixed return window instead: 60 minutes after the game on one, the Browns say at least 90 minutes. Check the window for your game. On foot, downtown is 15 minutes away, so getting away is easy without a car. It is only bad if you drove.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Skip the Brook Park and airport hotel area. It is a 30-minute train ride from everything, and that is where the stadium will sit in 2029, not where it is in 2026. Also, if your hotel sits east or west of the stadium instead of south, you still get funneled to West 3rd or East 9th.

Bars near the stadium

Checked at the source
  • Barley House

    1261 W 6th St, Cleveland, OH 44113 (Warehouse District)

Barley House is the default gameday bar in the Warehouse District. It comes up first in Cleveland Magazine's sports-bar survey and in local forums.

Away fans: mixed crowd. Broad downtown trade, not a partisan room.

  • Noble Beast Brewing Co.

    1470 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44114

Co-founder and head brewer Shaun Yasaki rebuilt this old steel warehouse. He called it a total disaster when he got it.

Away fans: welcoming, mixed crowd. A brewery taproom, not a partisan bar.

  • Harry Buffalo (East 4th)

    2120 E 4th St, Cleveland, OH 44115

This bar has a direct business tie to the Browns. In September 2023, the Browns and restaurateur Bobby George's Ethos Hospitality Group announced a Bally Bet retail sportsbook at the East 4th Harry Buffalo.

Away fans: mostly home fans, but it's a public room on a pedestrian dining street.

  • P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub

17119 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111 (West Park)

P.J. McIntyre's is the official home of the West Park Browns Backers.

Away fans: mostly home fans. It's a chapter clubhouse by definition.
