What we know about Nissan Stadium

Where visiting fans stay

Checked at the source
  • Downtown Nashville / SoBro. 22 min. walk across the Woodland Street Bridge (the stadium's own recommended fastest route) or the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. The map looks tricky, but it is not. The stadium looks far across the river, but it is not. It is about 1.1 miles from downtown, a 22-minute walk. Three bridges cross to it. Broadway's honky-tonks between the river and Bridgestone Arena, plus 1st and 2nd Avenues north of Broadway, hold the whole pre- and post-game scene. The east bank has none of it. Stay here and walk both ways.
  • The Gulch. 30 min. walk to Broadway then across the bridge, or free WeGo bus on gameday. This spot sits ten to fifteen minutes southwest of Broadway. It has a better restaurant scene and quieter, pricier hotels. Pick it if you want the game and the city but not Saturday night's bachelorette crowds on lower Broadway. It is still an easy walk, or a $2 WeGo ride, to the stadium. WeGo local buses are free on Titans home game days.
  • East Nashville. 20 min. walk from Woodland St. Woodland St. and Shelby Ave. is the local option, and the only side of the river the stadium sits on. It has independent bars, independent restaurants, and cheaper rooms. The stadium's own transportation page says walking works from here too. The trade-off: you are away from Broadway, which is the point of Nashville for most first-time visitors.

Around the stadium

From a specialist guide
The east bank around the current Nissan Stadium holds surface lots and the new stadium's construction site. There is no hotel-and-bar cluster there, and with the new build going up next door, there won't be one this season. Everything a visiting fan wants sits on the west bank: Broadway, 1st and 2nd Avenues, SoBro. Search results show hotels near the stadium, Quality Inn Nashville Downtown Stadium at 0.2 miles, Clarion Hotel Downtown Nashville Stadium at 0.5 miles, Hotel Indigo at 0.5 miles, but these are budget properties, not a district.

Getting in from the airport

From a specialist guide
BNA Nashville International. Taxi at a published flat rate, or WeGo public transit bus from the stadium Transportation Center on Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2.

Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
Woodland Street Bridge, the stadium's fastest crossing, about 22 min. It lands you right at the stadium's northwest side. Nissan Stadium's own transportation page names this bridge, not the famous pedestrian one, as the fastest route. John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. It is a 3,150-foot span for walkers only, crossing the Cumberland. It has a 15-foot bike lane down the center and 10-foot sidewalks on each side. The east end opens onto a plaza near Nissan Stadium. It gets heavy use on game day. It is the prettier walk, not the fastest. WeGo local bus routes 4, 14, 23, 41 and 56, via Elizabeth Duff Transit Center. Buses stop on Woodland Street and South 1st Street, by the Woodland Street bridge. WeGo staff work on site there. WeGo express park-and-ride service. Woodland Street and South 1st Street, by the Woodland Street bridge.

Tailgating

From a specialist guide
walk-up-available. Two different things. Real tailgating needs a vehicle: you can only tailgate directly behind your car. Tents can be weighted but not staked. Propane grills are banned. Stadium and club lots must clear of tailgating within 45 minutes after kickoff. For fans on foot, there is the Pinnacle Titan Up Tailgate in the South Plaza by Gates 8 and 9. The Titans run it themselves. It opens at 10 a.m. for a noon kickoff, with live music, tailgate games, and drink specials. No official page says if a game ticket is required to enter. Informal tailgating also gathers on the bluff across the Cumberland, on the west bank facing the stadium. Pinnacle Titan Up Tailgate, South Plaza, by Gates 8 and 9. No admission fee listed. Whether a game ticket is required is not confirmed. Opens 10:00 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. CT kickoff, two hours before kickoff, same time as the stadium gates.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: Clear bags must be 12 by 12 by 6 inches or smaller. Non-transparent bags, wallets, and cases must stay under 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Seat cushions are allowed if enclosed, with no zippers or metal pieces, unusual, since most NFL venues ban them. Medical lanes marked with red signs sit at every gate.
  • Re-entry: The venue states re-entry is not allowed, but only within its smoking policy section. No general re-entry policy is published elsewhere.
  • Prohibited items: No outside food or drinks. No coolers or containers, including glass bottles and cans. No umbrellas, strollers, or baby seats. No camera lenses over 6 inches. No poles or selfie sticks. No weapons. No animals except service animals. Smoking and vaping are banned throughout, with no designated areas.

Touring the stadium

Checked at the source
no-public-tours. No public tours run at the current Nissan Stadium, gameday or any day. Only private group tours exist, for parties of 25 or more. These run through December 2026, then the building closes. Do not offer a stadium tour in a 2026 Nashville package.

After the final whistle

From a specialist guide
No official clearance time is published. Parking lots close two hours after the game. Tailgating in stadium- and club-controlled lots must clear within 45 minutes after kickoff. Most of the crowd leaves on foot, across the bridges into downtown. That is why going carless is easy, you skip the line of cars at the bottleneck.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Skip booking a car or a stadium lot. Titans parking needs a permit, downtown garages cost less, and WeGo local buses run free on game days, so a car just buys you a bridge line. Don't book a cheap motel on the far east side expecting to walk in, the walk that works runs from downtown across the bridges, not along the river. Tell any fan booking for 2027 or later, they'll be watching a different, domed building.

Bars near the stadium

Checked at the source
  • Acme Feed & Seed

    101 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37201

Acme runs a free tailgate and watch party for every Titans home game. Doors open at 10am, on the second floor and rooftop.

Away fans: mostly home fans, but open to all, free entry, all ages.

  • Neighbors Germantown

313 Jefferson St, Nashville, TN 37208 (Germantown)

Neighbors is the pick if you want the Titans without the Broadway tourist crowd. It's a Germantown neighborhood bar, the kind where everybody knows your name, with a dog-friendly patio.

    Away fans: mostly home fans.

  • HQ Nashville

    114 2nd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201 (SoBro)

HQ claims one of the largest screens in downtown Nashville. Good pick for a group that wants to watch the game, not just glance at a TV between songs.

Away fans: mixed crowd, shows the full NFL slate.

  • Broadway Brewhouse

Broadway, Lower Broadway, Nashville (street number unconfirmed)

Pick this one if your fan wants Lower Broadway but not a live band drowning out the commentary. The Nashville Downtown Partnership's guide notes televisions in every direction and no live music, rare for that street.

Away fans: mixed crowd, Broadway is a tourist strip.
