Gates, bags, payment and access at State Farm Stadium.
The Cardinals give the clearest arrival advice in this group. They tell fans to enter early, since checkpoints get busiest in the 30 minutes before kickoff. Plan to be through the gate before kickoff minus 30 minutes.
Tickets are digital-only and sold through SeatGeek, not Ticketmaster. Your phone is your ticket; manage it through the Cardinals mobile app. SeatGeek sets this venue apart from the Ticketmaster venues in this group. No rule is published for international fans.
Gates are numbered, with Guest Services at Gates 1, 2 and 3. Nothing maps your section to a gate.
Bags allowed: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags, totes, backpacks, fanny packs or cinch bags up to 12" x 12" x 6". Clear backpacks are allowed here, unlike at Soldier Field. Small clutch bags and wallets up to 4.5" x 6.5" x 2" are allowed too; this is the only venue here that sets a depth limit for clutches. Medical items are the only named exception. Diaper bags are not mentioned.
Banned items include: umbrellas over 12" (small umbrellas are fine here, unlike SoFi and Soldier Field); laptops; professional cameras, video cameras, GoPros and tripods; poles and selfie sticks; noise makers; outside food, except infant formula or milk; all drinks except water; chairs, coolers, balloons and beach balls; aerosol cans; and chewing tobacco.
Re-entry is not allowed, with no exceptions stated. Club and Loft members must rescan their tickets to get back into those levels.
The stadium is cashless everywhere, not just in the parking lots. No concession stand, parking lot, retail shop or ticket window takes cash. Cash-to-card reverse ATMs sit at Main Level Sections 104 and 123, and Terrace Level Section 416. The kiosk operator is not named.
Gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options are sold at select concession stands. The venue confirms gluten-free food is available and asks guests with medical dietary needs to reach out in advance. Specific stands are not named, so ask on arrival.
Gate 2 is the ADA Access Control Point for guests using personal wheelchairs or mobility scooters. This gate differs from the general-admission gates. For accessible seating exchanges, go to Guest Services at Gates 1, 2 or 3. Elevators run from three public entrances and two Club entrances to every concourse level. Wheelchair help is available inside, first-come first-served.
Accessible seating sits on all three concourses, including all Lofts and Field Boxes. Request it through the box office at (602) 379-0102, or buy it through SeatGeek. No advance notice is needed for seating. A two-week notice applies only to interpreters and open captioning.
The Sensory Room, presented by Roman Empire Agency, sits on the Main Concourse near the Guest Services booth at Section 104. Assistive listening devices are at all four Guest Services offices: Sections 104, 123, 417 and 448, with valid ID. Request ASL interpreters through Guest Services at (623) 433-7015 or [email protected], two weeks ahead. Open captioning for smaller events needs the same two-week notice. No KultureCity certification is listed.
Privacy and nursing rooms sit on the Club Level in the elevator atrium at Section 230, with power outlets, seating and a TV. Twelve family restrooms with baby-changing tables are spread across the Main, Club and Terrace concourses. "Safe in the Seat" child locator wristbands are available at Guest Services booths. For lost children, go to Guest Services at Sections 104, 123, 417 or 448, or text 623-400-2210.
The Wi-Fi network is Stadium Wi-Fi, powered by Cox. No password is needed. No DAS or cell-capacity info is published.
The bars fans pick on game day, and how each one treats a visiting fan.
Westgate is an open-air strip just north of State Farm Stadium with over 70 restaurants and bars. A free Westgate Circulator shuttle loops through the Sports and Entertainment District. It is the main pre-game spot for Cardinals fans.
Arrive 2.5 to 3 hours early for a table. Phoenix's Valley Metro light rail does not serve Glendale, so plan to drive or take a rideshare. Rideshare pickup is south of the stadium near Cardinals Way, and also at Westgate.
This spot made the first list, and it still holds up. It is a large sports bar with craft cocktails, listed in Visit Phoenix's gameday guide. It sits in Westgate, one tenant among many, not the only option by the stadium.
Confirm gameday hours. Whiskey Rose, a country and line-dancing bar, and Saddle Ranch Chop House also show up on district listings. Their 2026 hours are not confirmed.

Other areas to stay
Downtown Phoenix
30 min by rideshare. Pick this only if the trip is also a Phoenix trip. It puts you on Valley Metro light rail for everything else in the Valley.
The Rams are 1-2 after 3 games, 3rd in the NFC West.
They are 0-1 on the road.
The Cardinals are 1-2 after 3 games, 4th in the NFC West.
They have lost 2 in a row.
They are 0-1 at home.
PHX Phoenix Sky Harbor International is 30 minutes away by rideshare or taxi. No rail runs to Glendale.
Walk from Westgate Entertainment District hotels, about 5 minutes from Westgate. free n/a. Uber/Lyft to the Black Lot from anywhere in the Valley. Black Lot is south of the stadium.
Official rideshare pickup and drop-off is the Black Lot, south of the stadium. The whole venue is cashless, including the parking areas; only credit cards work there. If you stay at Westgate, you only need rideshare for airport trips.
Do not book Scottsdale, Tempe or Mesa for a Cardinals game. They sit on the opposite side of the metro with no transit link. Valley Metro light rail will not help either. It is a good system, it just does not reach Glendale.
General parking lots open four hours before kickoff for Cardinals games. Lot F, the oversized and RV area, opens four hours 30 minutes before kickoff. Stadium gates open two hours before kickoff. Tailgating happens only in designated parking lots, once they open. There is no walk-up tailgate area. Sportsman's Park is the main tailgating lot for Cardinals games. If you don't have a car, Westgate Entertainment District works as a substitute: a five-minute walk away, with bars and restaurants instead of grills, but real game-day energy.
Downtown Phoenix: 30 min by rideshare. Pick this only if the trip is also a Phoenix trip. It puts you on Valley Metro light rail for everything else in the Valley.
Westgate Entertainment District has real bars and restaurants nearby. Try Whiskey Rose (0.4 mi), Saddle Ranch Chop House (0.4 mi) or Yard House (0.5 mi). Tanger Outlets and Desert Diamond Arena sit in the same complex. Parking there can cost as little as $10. The district can fill up hours before kickoff, so get there early or book ahead.
State Farm Stadium runs Gameday Prep Tours, a behind-the-scenes look at the stadium as crews prepare it on gameday. Book through SeatGeek, not through group sales. Check that your date is listed before buying.
The Field Roll-In Tour runs two days before gameday, at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Price is not published.
Book two nights. That covers the Field Roll-In Tour, held two days before gameday, if you arrive early. Book three nights if you want to catch that tour for sure. Otherwise two nights is enough since everything is walkable from Westgate.
Rates run moderate. Eight hotels sit in or next to Westgate, so supply near the stadium is strong, and metro Phoenix has plenty of rooms overall. Prices spike in other seasons instead: MLB Spring Training in February and March, and winter high season, both push Valley rates up. A Super Bowl or College Football Playoff year changes the market completely.
