Around the stadium

From a specialist guide
Tottenham High Road has a short run of pubs by the stadium: No.8 Tottenham is a 2 minute walk, the Bricklayers Arms 4 minutes, and the community-owned Antwerp Arms on Church Road 8 minutes. Inside, the Beavertown microbrewery and taproom sits in the south-east corner by The Market Place. Tottenham is a residential district 35 to 50 minutes from central London by train, so stay in town and come up on game day.

Getting in from the airport

Checked at the source
LHR London Heathrow. Heathrow Express runs nonstop to Paddington in 15 minutes every 15 minutes, then the Tube to your hotel. Before kickoff

Checked at the source
UK stadiums have no tailgate lots and there is no parking for general admission fans. The pregame happens in the pubs and at the NFL Gameday Experience. Free pregame party on the N17 plaza outside the stadium, 10 AM to 2 PM on Sunday: live music, DJs, mascots, cheerleaders, the McCoy's Quarterback Challenge, food and the NFL Shop. Entry needs your game ticket and a QR code from the NFL OnePass app. Greenwood, 170 Victoria Street, Thursday to Sunday. Free and open to all, with Edgerrin James, Bill Brooks, Colts Cheerleaders and Blue on Saturday, and the bar open from 9 AM on game day until kickoff. FanZone at BOX Piccadilly through Friday, October 2, with a Welcome Rally Friday 10 AM to 2 PM. FanFest at BrewDog Waterloo on Saturday, October 3, 12 PM to 4 PM with alumni, Major Tuddy and Command Force. The league's free fan festival is in Trafalgar Square on October 9 and 10, the week after this game. Worth it only if you stay through the Eagles and Jaguars weekend.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus one small clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches. No backpacks, camera cases or luggage, and no bag storage at the stadium.

Touring the stadium

Checked at the source
Self-guided tour of the Spurs dressing room, tunnel, premium spaces and the NFL locker rooms, from £23 with kids free. Tours run short or close around NFL games, so book the Monday after the game. A 90 minute climb across a glass walkway over the stadium roof with views of the London skyline, from £29. No bags allowed; free lockers on site. Book ahead on the stadium site. Colts-branded London Eye pod rides on Friday, October 2 (11 AM to 6 PM) and Saturday, October 3 (10 AM to 5 PM), with a £20 ticket offer at LondonEye.com/Colts. Some rides include Colts Legends, cheerleaders and Blue.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
Stewards walk you to the stations on different routes than you arrived, with managed queues at White Hart Lane, Northumberland Park, Tottenham Hale and Seven Sisters. Streets around White Hart Lane stay closed up to 90 minutes after the game to hold the station line, and the Victoria line is packed. Walking the High Road to Seven Sisters takes about 30 minutes and keeps you moving.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Skip Bruce Grove and Silver Street stations: both are small, and boarding southbound trains at Bruce Grove after the game is extremely difficult. Do not bring a regular bag: only clear bags up to 12 x 6 x 12 inches get in, and the stadium will not store anything you have to leave behind.
