What we know about Wembley Stadium

Where visiting fans stay

From a specialist guide
  • Marylebone. 25 min. Metropolitan line from Baker Street to Wembley Park, or Chiltern Railways from Marylebone to Wembley Stadium. The fastest base for the game: Baker Street is two stops (12 minutes) from Wembley Park and Marylebone is one stop (9 minutes) from Wembley Stadium station. Central, walkable to Oxford Street and Regent's Park.
  • Mayfair. 30 min. Jubilee line from Bond Street to Wembley Park. Bond Street sits on the Jubilee line, 19 minutes to Wembley Park with no changes, and puts you in the West End for Saturday sightseeing and Sunday night out.
  • South Bank. 40 min. Jubilee line from Waterloo to Wembley Park. Waterloo is about 29 minutes from Wembley on the Jubilee line. River views, the London Eye and an easy walk to Westminster and Borough Market.
  • Wembley Park. 10 min. Walk via Olympic Way. Hilton London Wembley, Novotel London Wembley and Premier Inn sit a 10-minute walk from the stadium, so you skip the post-game Tube queue. Room rates jump on game weekends and you are 30-plus minutes from central London the rest of the trip.

Around the stadium

From a specialist guide
Wembley Park has 50-plus places to eat and drink within a five-minute walk of the stadium, all open from 11 a.m. on event days. The big three are BOXPARK Wembley on Olympic Way (20-plus street food stalls and bars), The White Horse pub on Arena Square and the chains at London Designer Outlet. Hotels next to the stadium cost far more on game weekends, so stay in central London and ride the Tube out.

Getting in from the airport

Checked at the source
LHR London Heathrow. Heathrow Express to Paddington in 15 minutes, the Elizabeth line to central London in under 45 minutes, or the Piccadilly line (Tube) in under an hour. From Heathrow, the Heathrow Express reaches Paddington in 15 minutes every 15 minutes (from £10 booked 30-plus days ahead, £26 standard single). The Elizabeth line costs £13.90 to central London and the Piccadilly line from £5.50, under an hour. Gatwick is about 30 minutes from central London by train.

Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
Jubilee line to Wembley Park, about 19 min. Wembley Park station, then 10-minute walk down Olympic Way. Metropolitan line to Wembley Park, about 12 min. Wembley Park station, then 10-minute walk down Olympic Way. Chiltern Railways to Wembley Stadium, about 9 min. Wembley Stadium station, 4-minute walk to the stadium. Walk Olympic Way, about 10 min. Stadium concourse at the end of Olympic Way.

Before kickoff

Checked at the source
There is no parking-lot tailgate at Wembley. Brent Council runs a no-street-drinking zone on Olympic Way and the streets around the stadium on event days, so pregame drinks happen in fan zones and licensed bars. For the 2025 Wembley game the Jaguars ran The Jungle in Arena Square (games, merch, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), Beers n Bites in Green Car Park South (food, bars, big screens, 10 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.) and The Den on the East Concourse (food, alcohol, DJ, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.), plus the Duuuval Market merch tent. Expect a similar setup for 2026; the Jaguars publish the layout game week. The NFL's free fan festival runs in Trafalgar Square on Oct. 9-10, 2026 (Fri 1-7 p.m., Sat noon-7 p.m.), the weekend before the Wembley game: flag field, ex-players, all 32 helmets and the Lombardi Trophy. Register in the NFL OnePass app. Worth it only if you are in town for both Jaguars games. The street food hall on Olympic Way, 5 minutes from Wembley Park station, often turns into a pregame fan zone on stadium days. Opens 11 a.m. Sunday.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: NFL clear bag policy: one clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no bigger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, plus a small clutch up to 4.5 x 6.5 inches. The NFL and stadium will not store bags that fail.
  • Prohibited: No alcohol, drones, inflatable balls, laptops, fixed-shaft umbrellas, strollers or smoking devices; Wembley is a non-smoking venue.

Touring the stadium

Checked at the source
90-minute tour of the dressing rooms, Europe's largest press conference room, the players' tunnel and pitchside. £28 adult, £19 senior or student, £90 VIP. Tours start at 10 a.m. on level 1 behind the Bobby Moore statue, last entry 3 p.m. October to March. Book online at bookings.wembleytours.com, and check the tour notices: days before a big event can switch to a shorter Express Tour without the dressing rooms.

After the final whistle

From a specialist guide
Nearly everyone walks back up Olympic Way to Wembley Park station (about 10 minutes), where staff hold crowds in queues outside the station; plan on 30 to 60 minutes before you board a Jubilee or Metropolitan line train. Wembley Stadium station (Chiltern Railways, one stop to Marylebone) is a 4-minute walk and Wembley Central (Bakerloo line and Overground) is the quieter option. Waiting 15 to 30 minutes in a bar before you head out cuts the queue.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Bringing a regular backpack or purse: the NFL clear bag policy applies and the NFL will not store bags. Carrying a beer down Olympic Way: Brent Council runs a no-street-drinking zone around the stadium on event days, so drink in the fan zones or licensed bars.

Bars near the stadium

Checked at the source
