What we know about Stade de France

Where visiting fans stay

From a specialist guide
  • Gare du Nord. 15 min. RER B to La Plaine Stade de France (or RER D to Stade de France Saint-Denis). Closest central base: 4 minutes on RER B plus a 10-minute walk to the gates. The same RER B line comes in from CDG, and Belushi's NFL bar is a minute from the station.
  • Le Marais. 20 min. RER B or RER D from Châtelet-Les Halles. Walkable old Paris full of restaurants and bars. Châtelet is 8 minutes from the stadium on RER B and 9 on RER D, and both stadium lines start there.
  • Saint-Germain-des-Prés. 25 min. RER B from Saint-Michel Notre-Dame to La Plaine Stade de France. Left Bank cafés and the city's two best-known NFL bars, The Moose and The Great Canadian Pub. Saint-Michel Notre-Dame is one RER B stop past Châtelet.
  • Opéra. 21 min. Metro 13 from Saint-Lazare to Saint-Denis Porte de Paris. Big-hotel district by the department stores. Metro 13 takes 16 minutes from Saint-Lazare and leaves you a 5-minute walk from the north gates; Metro 14 reaches Saint-Denis Pleyel in 10.

Around the stadium

From a specialist guide
Game day food is the food truck village on the stadium forecourt, plus 60 stands inside selling sandwiches and drinks in refundable cups. Old Saint-Denis, with its Gothic basilica and the region's biggest covered market (open Sunday morning), sits under a mile north, one Metro 13 stop or a short walk. Do not stay out here: Gare du Nord is 4 to 5 minutes away on RER B or D, and Châtelet 8 to 9.

Getting in from the airport

From a specialist guide
CDG Paris Charles de Gaulle. RER B runs from the airport straight through La Plaine Stade de France to Gare du Nord and Châtelet, about 35 to 40 minutes to central Paris; the stadium says CDG is 30 minutes away. From CDG take RER B with the Paris Region-Airports ticket (€14 one way in 2026); trains run about every 10 minutes and reach Gare du Nord or Châtelet in 35 to 40 minutes. From Orly, Metro 14 runs through Gare de Lyon, Châtelet and Saint-Lazare to Saint-Denis Pleyel, 41 minutes end to end, on the same €14 ticket. A regular €2.55 Metro-Train-RER ticket is not valid at airport stations.

Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
RER B, about 8 min. La Plaine Stade de France, 10-minute walk to east gates A to H. RER D, about 9 min. Stade de France Saint-Denis, 10-minute walk to southwest gates T, U, X, Y, Z. Metro 13, about 16 min. Saint-Denis Porte de Paris, 5-minute walk to north gates J, K, L, N, R, S. Metro 14, about 10 min to Saint-Denis Pleyel.

Before kickoff

Checked at the source
No parking is sold for this game, so there are no lots. Pregame happens at the food truck village on the stadium forecourt. Burna Boy headlines halftime. The game airs free on France Télévisions and beIN Sports in France. On Location, the NFL's official hospitality provider, sells packages that bundle game tickets with gameday hospitality and travel.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: Backpacks up to 15 liters are allowed. Suitcases and big bags (larger backpacks, hiking bags, sports bags, tote bags) are banned.
  • Bag check: Free left-luggage to the right of each gate; it refuses backpacks over 15 liters.

Touring the stadium

From a specialist guide
90-minute guided tour starting at Gate H, with the stadium history exhibit included. Adults €16, kids 5 to 18 €11, family of four €44. English tours run Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2 PM from September to March; French tours run daily at 11 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM during school breaks. Booking is required on cultival.fr. No tours on event days, so go Thursday or Saturday. Gothic cathedral and burial place of French kings, under a mile from the stadium at Metro 13 Basilique de Saint-Denis. Necropolis ticket €17, free under 18. Sunday hours start at noon, so visit Saturday.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
Go home the way you came. RER B at La Plaine Stade de France (gates A to H) runs a train every 3 minutes on event days and RER D at Stade de France Saint-Denis (gates T to Z) every 6; both reach Gare du Nord in 4 to 5 minutes and Châtelet in 8 to 9. Metro 13 at Saint-Denis Porte de Paris serves the north gates and gets the heaviest crowds, and extra trains run on all these lines after events.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Riding from CDG or Orly on a regular €2.55 metro ticket: airport stations need the €14 Paris Region-Airports ticket. Bringing a suitcase or a backpack over 15 liters straight from the airport: both are banned, and the free bag check turns away big backpacks.
