Gates, bags, payment and access at Highmark Stadium.
Security gates open 3 hours before kickoff. The club tells fans to arrive within the first hour of that window to speed up entry. Ticket entries into the stadium bowl open 2 hours before kickoff. Arrive in the final hour and you risk missing kickoff.
Tickets load through the Bills Mobile app. The club tells fans to add tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet before arriving, since WiFi and cell service can run slow or weak at the gates. The same goes for mobile parking permits. No guidance exists yet for international phone numbers, app-store regions, or non-US cards.
The Bills publish an Interactive 3D Stadium Map at map.concept3d.com?id=2167 on the game-day page. Link out to this tool rather than building a fixed map. The new stadium has seven gates (A through G) into the secure perimeter, and eleven numbered entries into the stadium itself. Security screening happens only at Gates B through F.
Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC, no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a small clutch about hand-sized, 4.5 by 6.5 inches. You can carry the clutch along with one clear bag. The policy names no exception for medical items, diapers, or nursing supplies, which could be a real problem if you carry medication.
Banned items include umbrellas, strollers, all tobacco products, outside bottles, cans, and thermoses. Also banned: cameras with lenses over six inches, video cameras, tripods, noisemakers, laser pointers, oversized or modified seat cushions, selfie sticks, and drones. Smokers get no break area and no re-entry, so plan around that.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the stadium. There are no designated smoking areas, and re-entry is not allowed either.
All points of sale run cashless only, including parking, retail, and even 50/50 raffle sellers. Pay with debit, credit, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay. No cash-to-card kiosk exists for the new stadium, so cash-only fans have no way to spend it.
The 2026 menu marks each item with dietary codes: (v) for vegetarian, (vg) for vegan, (gf) for gluten-free, (df) for dairy-free, (nf) for nut-free. Example: 'Cheese Pizza: Saputo Gold Mozzarella, pizza sauce (v, nf).' This stand-level detail beats most stadiums in the league.
Call the Bills Box Office at 1-877-228-4257, or email [email protected], before you arrive. Accessible platform seating works first-come, first-served with no advance notice window stated. Watch out: an older page on the same site lists a different number, 1-877-228-4267. Use the Accessibility Guide's number instead.
The stadium has seven sensory rooms, more than any other venue reported. Locations: Field Club, 716 Club Lower, M&T Bank Lounge on the Balcony Level, Main Concourse near Sections 104 and 141, and Upper Concourse near Sections 303 and 343. The stadium is KultureCity-certified sensory inclusive. Sensory Inclusion Kits, with noise-cancelling headphones, fidget toys, and a KultureCity VIP ID card, check out at Guest Experience Booths. Partners include the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation, Kaleida Health, and Golisano Children's Hospital. Assistive Listening Devices check out at any Guest Experience Booth on the Main or Upper Concourse with government ID. Closed captioning runs through the Bills Mobile app and on select video boards. No ASL interpreter service or notice period is listed.
Verizon serves as the official 5G network and founding partner, and will own the neutral host Distributed Antenna System in the new stadium. Coverage includes Enhanced 5G Ultra-Wide Band service and small cell technology across the stadium and surrounding lots and plazas. No public WiFi network name is published for the new building. The club warns of slow or weak WiFi and cell service at the gates, so load your tickets into a wallet before arriving. The old WiFi name, 'Bills Guest Wifi,' belonged to the old stadium.
The Ravens are 2-1 after 3 games, 2nd in the AFC North.
They are 2-0 on the road.
The Bills are 3-0 after 3 games, 1st in the AFC East.
They have won 3 in a row.
They are 2-0 at home.
The bars fans pick on game day, and how each one treats a visiting fan.
Mostly home fans.
This bar opened in 1950 as a neighborhood spot and turned into a sports bar under new owners in October 1980. From there, it became the players' bar. Andre Reed came here his first night as a Bill and named the place three times in his Hall of Fame speech.
It opens at 10am Sunday through Thursday, and 11am Friday and Saturday. It closes at midnight Sunday through Wednesday, and 2am Thursday through Saturday. The wings are famous. It fills up fast, so arrive early. Call (716) 648-6749 ahead to check seating for a group.
Crowd is mixed, leaning welcoming.
Rick and Peggy Cerrone opened this bar in 2010. It is the most family-run spot in the Abbott Road group. In 2022 they brought back Pino's Pizza, a local favorite that had closed, and reopened it on their own property.
Open Mon-Sat 11am to midnight, later Thu-Sat. Open Sun 11am to 11pm. Wings come in multiple flavors. Pino's pizza is made on site.
NFTA Metro Game Day Express from Six transit centres: Metropolitan Transportation Center (downtown Buffalo). It costs $5 per person one way. Pay with cash, exact change, or the Token Transit app. Regular NFTA passes do not work. Schedules post only the week before each game and can change on game day. Drops at the stadium.. There is no rail service of any kind from Buffalo. There is no commuter rail, light rail, or metro to Orchard Park. Buffalo's Metro Rail stays inside the city and does not reach the stadium. The Game Day Express bus is the only public transport option.
Rideshare works, but costs more and runs thin at scale. A taxi from BUF to the stadium starts around $60 one way before game-day surge pricing. Orchard Park has few local drivers. The Bills don't publish a rideshare zone for the new stadium. Take the Game Day Express, and book everything else ahead.
Don't book at the airport or in a random Southtowns suburb hoping to be close. Without a car, anywhere outside a Game Day Express stop means a $60-plus one-way taxi. Don't assume the old stadium's layout either. The gates, lots, and address all changed for 2026.
Lots open four hours before kickoff and close two hours after the game ends. Every lot requires an advance-purchase parking pass. On game day, only accessible parking sells on-site, first come first served, in the Blue ADA and White ADA lots, cashless. Tailgating ends at kickoff; everyone must enter the stadium then. Tailgates must stay inside your parking space. Use only free-standing, weighted tents, no stakes. Propane and natural gas grills are fine; charcoal grills must sit 6 inches off the ground. No glass, no air horns, no PA systems, no selling food or private catering. Private lots along Abbott Road set their own rules. Stadium lots require a car and an advance-purchase parking pass, and tailgating must stay inside your marked space until kickoff. But Gameday Hospitality runs the Red Zone tailgate at 3904 Abbott Road, right next to the stadium property, a 3-5 minute walk from most gates. No car or game ticket needed, just a tailgate reservation. It runs three hours, with a buffet of Sahlen's hot dogs, chicken fingers, subs, and pizza. The VIP tier adds wings and beef on weck. Prices rise the closer you book to game day; a season pass covers all home and playoff games. Times shift with kickoff, for example 10:00 to 13:00 for an afternoon game, or 16:30 to 19:30 for a night game.
Downtown Buffalo: 35 min by NFTA Metro Game Day Express bus, $5 one way. The Bills do not play in Buffalo. Highmark Stadium is in Orchard Park, about 12 miles south of downtown. Buffalo Medical Campus: 40 min by Metro Rail to a Game Day Express pickup point, then the express bus. This area sits next to downtown, with better bars and restaurants than downtown itself. University Station is a Game Day Express pickup point on the same Metro Rail line.
There is no hotel cluster and no bar district here. Two motels sit within two miles: Red Carpet Inn at 0.4 miles, Stadium View Inn at 1.9 miles. For drinks before the game, try classic roadside taverns on and around Abbott Road and Southwestern Boulevard: Big Tree Inn, Danny's South, O'Neill's Stadium Inn. These are institutions, but they sit along a suburban strip, not a walkable district. New development is underway near the stadium; Danny's South was listed for sale as building speeds up. This could change in coming seasons.
The Bills offer a Gameday Tour for the new stadium: a VIP pre-game walk behind the scenes as teams prepare for kickoff. Book it at thehighmarkstadium.com/tours. Pricing and availability are not listed yet. Confirm both before selling this to anyone.
The Rally Day Tour runs the day before a home game, a self-guided look behind the scenes as the stadium gets ready. Other options: the Bills Mafia Tour, 60 minutes, guided, covering the locker room and field level, and the Bills Mafia Elevated Tour, 90 minutes, VIP, adding the Gallagher Founders Club and National Broadcast Booth. Prices and availability for all three were still being set when announced. Book at thehighmarkstadium.com/tours.
