Gates, bags, payment and access at Gillette Stadium.
Gillette's stadium guide lists gate-opening times only, with no arrival-time recommendation. For Patriots games, club and suite gates open three hours before kickoff. Sports Illustrated area gates open two and a half hours before. All other gates open two hours before. A 2016 article on patriots.com told fans to arrive early to limit wait times, but that is not a current standing policy. Do not read the gate times as arrival advice.
Tickets are mobile-device-only for all events. Keep them in the Gillette Stadium App, Ticketmaster, Apple Wallet or Google Pay. Screenshots of barcodes get refused at entry. The venue advises adding tickets to Apple Wallet or Google Pay to beat busy networks at the event, useful advice for a visitor on roaming data. You need a Ticketmaster account, especially for transfers. No guidance is published for international visitors on US-only numbers or app stores.
Gillette runs an interactive map at maps.gillettestadium.com covering the stadium and Patriot Place. It gives real-time directions to seating, parking, concessions and amenities on game day. Static seating charts, parking maps and pedestrian routes by event type sit alongside it. Accessible seating maps show exact gate locations.
Three bag formats are allowed: a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag no bigger than 11 by 11 inches; a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no bigger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches; or a small wristlet or handheld wallet no bigger than 6.5 by 4.5 inches. The clear-bag size order differs from the usual NFL phrasing of 12 by 6 by 12 inches. For medical supplies or dietary needs, email at least 48 hours ahead; breast pumps are named as an example.
Banned items: umbrellas of any kind; selfie sticks or any stick or pole; seat cushions with pockets or zippers; portable folding or standalone chairs; GoPros, video cameras, tripods and monopods; strollers, except at Revolution games; outside food or drinks, coolers, cans and bottles; noisemakers, bullhorns, air horns and vuvuzelas; balloons and beach balls.
Two separate bans apply. No stadium re-entry at Patriots and Revolution games. No parking lot re-entry at any stadium event. Rules for other events vary by event.
Gillette Stadium is fully cashless, contactless payment only. Five cash-to-card kiosks convert cash to Visa prepaid cards; the venue publishes a map of their locations. The Visa card works in-venue, but any leftover balance stays on a US prepaid card, worth knowing for an international visitor.
Dietary options are listed in detail by stand. Nut-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free, vegetarian and vegan choices are tagged by outlet. Gluten-free hot dog or hamburger buns are available on request at Italian Sausage, Stadium Pizza and Sideline. Gluten-free canned beer is at Grab and Go. Vegan and Beyond Meat burgers are at Tailgate Grill. Kosher hot dogs are at multiple stands. Outside food and drink are banned unless you request a medical or dietary exception at least 48 hours ahead.
Ramps meet code at three named gates: the Ticketmaster Gate, the Bank of America Gate and the CVS Health Gate. Event-specific accessible seating maps show the exact gate locations. Lot 55 has free ADA parking with a shuttle to the Bank of America Gate, making it the easiest accessible entry point if you park there.
Two ways to get accessible seats. Self-serve: buy through Ticketmaster using the Accessibility toggle. Assisted: call the box office at (800) 543-1776 for purchase, relocation or exchange. Exchanges and relocations depend on wheelchair and companion seat availability, so they are first-come, first-served and not guaranteed. Wheelchair and companion seating exists on every level and at all price points, but the stadium does not loan wheelchairs, so bring your own.
The most fully equipped setup in this group. A sensory room sits on the main concourse, west side, with Yogibo bean bags, Nanoleaf light panels, activity panels and air walls. Sensory bags with noise-cancelling headphones, fidget tools and verbal cue cards check out from Guest Services booths. Captioning runs through the Gillette Stadium app on iPhone and Android, with physical captioning devices on advance request. ALS devices check out from Guest Services against an ID deposit. Book ASL interpreters for concerts and special events at the point of purchase. The stadium warns it may not secure qualified interpreters inside three weeks of an event, so book earlier if you can.
A private nursing and pumping room sits at Section 131 on the main concourse, west side, with three privacy pods, chairs, power outlets and a changing station nearby. Family restrooms sit across the 100, 200 and 300 levels; locations vary by event, including sections 138, 216, 224, 304, 314, 326 and 336. The Tag-A-Kid program at Guest Services booths gives your child a wristband recording their seat location. First aid stations sit at midfield on the main concourse, east and west sides, plus Parking Lot 51. Strollers are banned at Patriots games.
the stadium guide tells fans to look for "the Gillette Stadium Wifi," but does not give an exact network name. Confirm the SSID on site. No guidance is published on assistive listening devices or network capacity. The closest thing to an official congestion warning is the venue's advice to load tickets into a wallet app ahead of time to beat busy networks.

Mixed
The Foxborough Harp is the country cousin of a Boston institution. The original opened on Causeway Street, across from what is now TD Garden, in 1993, and the Briar Group has run it for three decades. It opened at Patriot Place in 2023, taking over the shuttered CBS Sporting Club.
Opens 10am on Sundays when the Patriots play at home at 1pm. Otherwise opens 11:30am. Closes 10pm Monday to Wednesday, 11pm Thursday, 12:30am Friday and Saturday, 9pm Sunday. Kitchen closes an hour to 90 minutes before closing. Book tables online. Reservations are a good idea. Ask for the "No Ticket No Problem" patio table on concert nights. Food and drink minimum is $150 for two or $400 for four. Call (774) 220-9022.
Mixed, a concert venue as much as a bar
The Briar Group, which also runs The Harp, opened this spot in May 2019. The dining room is 19,400 square feet with a large patio. Event spaces hold 15 to 1,200 people, the biggest in the district for bus groups.
Book through OpenTable. Large groups can book here, good for traveling fan clubs. Call (774) 215-7911.

Where visiting fans stay
Patriot Place, Foxborough
5 min on foot. The rare NFL stadium with a real hotel cluster at the gate. Two hotels sit 0.2 miles away, the Renaissance Boston Patriot Place and the Hilton Garden Inn Foxborough/Patriot Place.
Downtown Boston
60 min by MBTA Commuter Rail Patriots event train, South Station to Foxboro. Good choice if the trip is about Boston as well as the game. Stay near South Station and take the $20 round-trip event train to Foxboro station.
Providence, RI
45 min by MBTA Commuter Rail Patriots event train via the Northeast Corridor, Providence to Foxboro. Cheaper than Boston, with its own restaurant scene. The same MBTA Patriots event train runs from Providence Station.

The Packers are 1-2 after 3 games, 4th in the NFC North.
They are 1-1 on the road.
The Patriots are 1-2 after 3 games, 3rd in the AFC East.
They are 1-0 at home.
BOS Boston Logan International, 20 minutes via Silver Line SL1 bus or Blue Line subway to downtown Boston PVD sits 34 miles from Foxborough versus 30 from Logan. It skips Boston traffic entirely, and the MBTA runs the same Patriots event train from Providence Station as from Boston South Station. It is a real option, not just a fallback. MHT has cheap domestic fares but no useful transit link south to Foxborough, so you need a car.
MBTA Commuter Rail Patriots event train, about 60 minutes from Boston South Station (also stops Back Bay and Dedham Corporate Center). $20 round trip. Tickets are sold only through the MBTA mTicket app, and supply is capped. Regular Commuter Rail passes do not work. On the January 11, 2026 game, the MBTA ran two Boston trains. They left about 5:20pm and 5:35pm and arrived in Foxboro about 6:20pm and 6:35pm. Foxboro station sits at the far end of Lot 4, next to the stadium. A pedestrian walkway runs under an access road to the north end of the stadium.. MBTA Commuter Rail Patriots event train (Providence branch) from Providence Station. Same mTicket-only event ticket. Limited quantity. Foxboro station, next to the stadium. Franklin/Foxboro Line scheduled service from Boston South Station. Regular timetabled trains also stop at Foxboro station, made permanent in October 2023, with about 10.5 Boston-Foxboro weekday round trips. The MBTA says this service is not timed to events. Use it only as a backup. Weekend frequency is thin. Foxboro station, next to the stadium.
30 minutes by train, 90 to 180 by car. The train is the whole reason to go carless here. The first return train leaves Foxboro 30 minutes after the game ends. On games with a second Boston train, it leaves about 15 minutes later, but not every game has one. Event trains run on a set timetable, so you cannot linger. By road it is worse. Gillette empties onto US Route 1 with State Police running contraflow. A parking guide records waits of 1.5 to 3 hours when the crowd leaves at once. The free lots across Route 1 are hit hardest. Many fans wait an hour in the lot on purpose rather than sit in that line.
Official Uber and Lyft pickup is Lot 15, next to the Bass Pro Shops/CVS Health gate. Taxis also use Lot 15 for Patriots games. This is the weak link in a carless plan. A parking guide reports 45 to 60 minute waits just to get matched with a driver after the game, plus heavy surge pricing. Do not plan to leave by rideshare. Buy the train ticket instead.
Do not assume a 'Boston' hotel sits near the stadium. Foxborough is 22 miles out, and there is no subway. A hotel in the northern or western Boston suburbs gives you the worst of both: no city, no stadium, no train. If you cannot get Patriot Place, book downtown Boston near South Station or Providence, not somewhere in between.
Lots open four hours before kickoff and close right after the game, or two hours after a daytime Patriots game. General parking across Route 1 is free for Patriots games. Stadium-side prepaid passes were listed as unavailable. Kegs, outside catering, trailers, box trucks and portable restrooms are banned. Tailgating happens in the lots, starting four hours before kickoff, but it is a car activity. Lot re-entry is banned, there is no walk-up tailgate village, and no ticketed public tailgate exists. The carless substitute is strong, though: Patriot Place's bars and restaurants sit a two-minute walk from the gates and work as the pre-game gathering spot. Remember, there is no stadium re-entry at Patriots games, so eat and drink before you go through the turnstiles.
Patriot Place, Foxborough: 5 min on foot. The rare NFL stadium with a real hotel cluster at the gate. Two hotels sit 0.2 miles away, the Renaissance Boston Patriot Place and the Hilton Garden Inn Foxborough/Patriot Place. Stay near South Station and take the $20 round-trip event train to Foxboro station.
Patriot Place is a real mixed-use complex next to the stadium. Two hotels sit 0.2 miles from the gates. It has a range of restaurants, a pharmacy, a Trader Joe's, a cinema and the Patriots Hall of Fame. Parking at Patriot Place is free on game days, but the Patriots patrol it to stop non-ticketed drivers from using it. This is one of the few NFL stadiums where staying near the stadium is a real option, not just a highway motel.
High. Two hotels serve a 64,628-seat stadium, and both sell out early at a premium on game day. Boston and Providence have plenty of rooms, so the risk is specific to staying at the stadium. Book Patriot Place months ahead, or plan on the train. No official minimum-stay policy was found, so treat any minimum-night rule as unconfirmed.
