What we know about SoFi Stadium

Where visiting fans stay

Checked at the source
  • LAX / Century Boulevard hotel corridor. Metro C or K Line to LAX/Metro Transit Center, then the free SoFi game-day shuttle (every 10 minutes or less). The single most practical base is two to three miles from the stadium, packed with brand hotels. The official Metro game day route runs a free shuttle to SoFi from Bay 8 at the LAX/Metro Transit Center, where the C Line, K Line and buses all meet. You can also fly in and drop your bags without needing a car.
  • Downtown Inglewood / Market Street. Metro K Line to Downtown Inglewood, then Metro Line 212 or rideshare. On game days the official free shuttle runs from LAX/Metro Transit Center instead.. Downtown Inglewood station on the Metro K Line is the closest real neighborhood with street life instead of just a parking lot. It is not the game day route though. Metro and SoFi send K Line riders on to LAX/Metro Transit Center for the free shuttle, and the City of Inglewood says the 1.5 to 2 mile gap from the K Line to the venues is longer than a convenient walk. Metro Line 212 runs to Prairie/Kelso by the stadium, about a 16 minute ride. That is changing: the city's $261 million mobility program will add a hub at Florence and Market with a pedestrian bridge to the station. Streetscape work starts in November 2026 and bus lanes follow in 2027, but none of it is open yet.
  • Santa Monica or Downtown LA. Metro C/K Line via LAX/Metro Transit Center + free shuttle, or rideshare. Pick these only if the trip is about Los Angeles and not just the game. Neither has a direct transit run to SoFi. You will end up on a rideshare or a two leg Metro trip through LAX/Metro Transit Center, and the post game rideshare surge from Inglewood is the worst part of the day.

Around the stadium

Checked at the source
The Shops at Hollywood Park retail district now has a real food and entertainment cluster right on the stadium campus, including Cosm, Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas, The Meeting Spot, JD Sports and Iconix Fitness, with Raising Cane's, The Melt, Panini Kabob Grill, Lan Noodle and Rhythm Bar and Lounge announced in May 2025. There are zero hotel rooms on the campus for the 2026 season. The Kali Hotel's own page lists a Spring 2027 opening, though its meta description says Winter 2026. Either way, staying right at the stadium is not an option for 2026, even though eating and drinking there now is, so don't plan a stay there until the hotel is actually open and taking reservations.

Getting in from the airport

From a specialist guide
LAX, Los Angeles International, is the airport to fly into. The recommended place to stay is the LAX hotel corridor on Century Boulevard, where hotels run courtesy shuttles from the terminals.

Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
Take the Metro C Line or K Line to LAX/Metro Transit Center, then catch the free SoFi Stadium shuttle. Buses use the lot on the southeast side of Prairie Avenue and Arbor Vitae Street. It's a short walk to the stadium, and the route passes the NFL Network building. SoFi shuttle service window. The shuttle runs every 10 minutes or less starting three hours before kickoff. Return service starts at the beginning of the fourth quarter and runs until 90 minutes after the game ends. Culver CityBus Line 99 Express. GTrans Line 7X.

Tailgating

Checked at the source
You need a car for this. SoFi runs the most restrictive tailgate policy of any West Coast NFL venue: tailgating happens in one pass-gated zone and nowhere else. If you arrive on the free Metro shuttle, you can't tailgate at all. There's no walk-up tailgate area, and you can't even get onto the campus perimeter without a game ticket. Tailgate activities are only allowed in the Hyundai Pink Zone, and you need to buy a Hyundai Pink Zone Parking Pass ahead of time.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: You can bring a clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, plus one small non-clear bag no larger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches, with or without a handle or strap. Medical bags, diaper bags with medically necessary items, and breast pump cases are allowed as exceptions, though they go through extra screening. A paid bag valet will hold bags that don't meet the rules, including strollers.
  • Re-entry: You can't exit and come back in on the same ticket. The only exception is an emergency re-entry approved by a gate supervisor.
  • Prohibited items: Items to leave at home include umbrellas of any kind, since the roof is an open sided canopy that won't keep rain out, cameras with detachable lenses or lenses over 6 inches, seat cushions with pockets or any metal or hard parts, banners and signs bigger than 3 feet by 5 feet, any sign pole that isn't soft bendable plastic under 2 feet, artificial noisemakers, air horns, and strollers, which go to valet instead. You can bring in one factory sealed 20 ounce water bottle and one empty clear non-metal bottle to refill at the hydration stations.

Touring the stadium

Checked at the source
Rally Days run the day before a home game. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster, and SoFi does not publish a release window. Contact [email protected] or (424) 541-9650. The venue page does not list a price. Parking is free with your tour ticket. Standard tours run about 2 hours with field access, or 60 to 75 minutes without. See https://www.sofistadium.com/stadium/stadium-tours

After the final whistle

From a specialist guide
There's no official figure for how long it takes to clear out after the game. What you can plan on is this: the free shuttle back to LAX/Metro Transit Center starts at the beginning of the 4th quarter and keeps running for 90 minutes after the final whistle, so you can leave late but not indefinitely. Rideshare pickup funnels to one point at Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Don't book Downtown LA or Hollywood assuming it's a quick hop to the stadium. Neither has a rail line straight to SoFi's door, and the post game rideshare pickup is a single choke point at Kareem Court and Manchester Boulevard. Also don't assume the K Line's Downtown Inglewood station is the game day station. The official routing sends you to LAX/Metro Transit Center for the free shuttle instead.

Bars near the stadium

Checked at the source
  • Rock & Brews El Segundo

143 Main St, El Segundo, CA 90245

This is the strongest practical Chargers pick near SoFi. It's an officially recognized Bolt Fam bar on El Segundo's Main Street, four miles from the stadium, built around a 28-foot LED video wall with banks of TVs around it.

Away fans: it's a mixed crowd: an official Bolt Fam Bar that also shows every Rams game, so both sides show up.

  • Brewport Tap House & Kitchen

204 Main St, El Segundo, CA 90245

This is the other half of the El Segundo pairing, and the more interesting room of the two. Brewport runs a self-pour model: you get a card and pour your own from a wall of over 20 taps of craft beer, cider, seltzer, and kombucha, then pay by the ounce.

Away fans: it's a mixed crowd: official Bolt Fam Bar with a neighborhood-craft feel.

  • American Junkie

68 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254

American Junkie sits on Pier Avenue, the pedestrian strip running down to the Hermosa Beach pier, and it has publicly aligned itself with the Chargers. The club's own photo coverage of a Wild Card watch party was shot here, and Charger Girls appearances are documented there too.

Away fans: the crowd is mostly home fans, making this the closest thing to a self-declared home bar.

  • Tom's Watch Bar Inglewood

    3900 W Century Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90303

This opened in early December 2025 as the 19th Tom's Watch Bar, taking over the building that used to be Cork & Batter. It's built around an oversized stadium-screen wall that wraps 360 degrees around you, with a rooftop bar and lounge above the main floor.

Away fans: it's a mixed, structurally neutral crowd that serves fans heading to SoFi, Intuit Dome, the Forum, and YouTube Theater.

What to eat

The local food this city is known for: the LA street dog and tacos.
