What we know about Lambeau Field
Where visiting fans stay
Checked at the source- Titletown District / Ashwaubenon. 3 min by walk. The Packers built their own bar and restaurant district across Ridge Road from the stadium: Hinterland brewery, Taverne in the Sky and Lodge Kohler, BelAir Cantina, Homefield Pub + Social, 46 Below, and 1919 Kitchen & Tap inside the Lambeau atrium. This is the only real walk-to-the-game option in Green Bay, so you do not need to worry about getting there. The catch is availability: Lodge Kohler is basically the one hotel here, it sits 0.1 miles from the gate, and its own website says rooms open for booking the night the NFL schedule comes out.
- Downtown Green Bay. 12 min. free 'Lambeau Leap' Green Bay Metro gameday bus from the downtown Metro center. A lot of fans assume Green Bay has no downtown worth staying in, but it does have bars and restaurants. The free "Lambeau Leap" gameday bus runs from the Green Bay Metro center downtown to Lambeau on a 20 to 25 minute round trip, so about 10 minutes each way, and it costs nothing. You skip the parking hassle and the rideshare surge, and if you don't have a car this is the best value and convenience you'll find in this market.
- Airport-area hotels. 25 min. free 'Cheesehead' Green Bay Metro gameday bus (40-50 min round trip). Fans tend to skip the airport area thinking it's dead, but the free "Cheesehead" gameday bus route runs there just for that reason, covering the airport and the hotels around it. A room out here gets you a free ride to the gate and back, and these hotels tend to still have rooms after the stadium-area ones hit their two-night minimum.
- Appleton / Fox Cities. 39 min by car (32. Appleton is 39 minutes from Lambeau and has its own airport, so it's the real overflow option when Green Bay sells out, which it does. There's no free bus from Appleton though, so booking here means you're committing to a rental car or a long taxi ride. Only go this route if Green Bay is truly booked up.

Checked at the sourceGetting in
Checked at the source- Bag policy: Bags allowed are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC no bigger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a small non-clear bag up to 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. Medical, diaper, or nursing exceptions are not confirmed on the carry-in policy page.
- Re-entry: This is the most complicated re-entry rule in this group, and it can catch traveling fans off guard. Re-entry only works through a pre-kickoff Atrium exit scan, and only in a narrow window between six and four hours before kickoff, at one specific gate. If you leave without that exit scan, or leave after you've already been scanned in for the game, you can't get back in.
- Prohibited items: Banned items include umbrellas, coolers, strollers, and wagons, which hits families harder than at most stadiums, along with firearms and weapons, video and still cameras with lenses over 12 inches, unauthorized or obstructive banners and signs, noisemakers, and oversized seats. You can rent a seat back inside instead.

1963 Holmgren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304
This is the biggest pre-game operation in Green Bay, and it feels more like a festival with a roof over part of it than a bar. It has five full-service bars across two floors inside, plus several more bars outside, along with food trucks and vendors in the lot.
Away fans: the crowd is mixed and welcoming, since the size and noise make it neutral ground for everyone.
The Bar - Holmgren Way
Holmgren Way, Green Bay, WI
The Bar runs the tailgate logistics for the whole region, with shuttle buses coming in from five sister venues in downtown Appleton, East Green Bay, West Appleton, Oshkosh, and Wausau, so a lot of the room arrives together as one group. Inside, it has 32 HD screens and a 20-foot LED wall, and outside there's a patio that looks across at Lambeau Field and the Don Hutson Center, the Packers' indoor practice facility.
Away fans: the crowd is mostly home fans, but it's built to welcome visitors too, since it sells tailgate packages for every game, including Bears, Vikings, and Lions matchups.
Kroll's West
1990 S Ridge Road, Green Bay, WI 54304
Kroll's is the heritage pick, the place to send someone who wants real Green Bay instead of just the tailgate scene. The family started serving meals at their hotel in 1931, opened the first real Kroll's restaurant on Main Street in 1936, and moved to the Lambeau site in 1974.
Away fans: the crowd is mixed, and it works as much as a restaurant as it does a bar.
Anduzzi's Sports Club - Stadium District
1992 Holmgren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304
Anduzzi's opened in 1999 and has grown into a three-site group in Green Bay, but the Holmgren Way location is the one that matters on a Sunday. It sits in the middle of the Stadium District strip and sells its own Packers gameday parking, which makes it a solid base as well as a bar.
Away fans: the crowd is mixed, since it runs Packers gameday events but also hosts college watch parties.
