Where visiting fans stay

  • Platinum Triangle. 10 min by walk. The Ayres Hotel Anaheim (2550 E Katella Ave) is within walking distance of the ballpark, next to the Anaheim train station, and TownePlace Suites Anaheim Maingate sits on State College Boulevard near the lot. You can walk to the game and to the Orangewood Avenue brewpubs and skip parking. The Ayres charges $15 a day to park.
  • Anaheim Resort. 15 min by rideshare. The biggest choice of hotels in Orange County, about 3 miles west. Good if the trip also includes Disneyland. The ART shuttle stopped running in 2026, so take OC Bus Route 50 along Katella Avenue or a rideshare to the game.
  • Irvine and Newport Beach. 25 min by drive. Quieter hotels near the coast and close to John Wayne Airport (SNA). You will need a car to reach the ballpark.
  • Downtown Los Angeles near Union Station. 45 min by transit. Pairs an Angels game with a Dodgers game. Metrolink and Amtrak trains run from Union Station to the Anaheim station next to the ballpark lot.

Around the stadium

Checked at the source
The closest bars and hotels sit in the Platinum Triangle around the ballpark. Golden Road Brewing and Karl Strauss face the lot across Orangewood Avenue, and the Ayres Hotel Anaheim is on Katella Avenue next to the Anaheim train station. The Disneyland hotel area is about 3 miles west.

Getting in from the airport

From a specialist guide
SNA (John Wayne Airport, Orange County). It is about 9 miles south of the ballpark in a straight line. Allow 20 to 40 minutes by car or rideshare, longer at rush hour.

OC Bus Route 50, about 25 min. Anaheim station (ARTIC) on Katella Avenue, next to the ballpark lot.

Tailgating

Checked at the source
Tailgating is allowed only in the Big A Lot. Gas or propane grills with a fuel shutoff valve are allowed; charcoal is not. Your car may take only one space, and outside catering is banned. Drinking alcohol in the parking lot is illegal under Anaheim city code, including at tailgates. There is no in and out parking, and the lot closes one hour after the game.

You also need a ticket to that day's game, bought in advance. $179 to $219 per person. A small group tour of the same stops as the Pregame Tour, plus batting practice from the warning track and an Angels gift bag. Check in at the Gate 3 Media Entrance. You also need a ticket to that day's game, bought in advance. Email [email protected] with the date and time of your public tour booking to request a Japanese or Spanish speaking guide.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
The escalators by Gates 1 and 4 switch to run downward in the 7th inning to speed up exits. Beer sales end after the 7th inning. The lot closes one hour after the game ends. Traffic backs up at the nearby Interstate 5, Route 57 and Route 22 interchange (the Orange Crush), so leave a few minutes early or wait out the first rush.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Bringing a backpack. Backpacks are banned, and there is no bag storage outside the ballpark, so a backpack means a walk back to your car.
