What we know about TD Ballpark

Where visiting fans stay

Checked at the source
  • Downtown Dunedin. 10-15 min by walk. Main Street and Douglas Avenue put breweries, restaurants and the waterfront at your door, and the ballpark is a half-mile walk down Douglas Avenue or the Pinellas Trail. Rooms are scarce, so book early.
  • Broadway. 5 min by drive. The Blue Jays' hotel partner, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clearwater North/Dunedin at 975 Broadway, is about 1.4 miles from the ballpark.
  • Clearwater Beach. 15-20 min by drive. The big hotel cluster on the Gulf is about 6 miles south, and it puts you between TD Ballpark and BayCare Ballpark for a two-park trip.

Around the stadium

From a specialist guide
The ballpark sits in a residential neighborhood about half a mile south of downtown Dunedin, where Main Street and Douglas Avenue have the bars, breweries and cafes. The Pinellas Trail runs from downtown to the ballpark, and the Blue Jays' hotel partner is the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clearwater North/Dunedin on Broadway.

Getting in from the airport

From a specialist guide
TPA (Tampa International). It is about 20 miles east of the ballpark across the Courtney Campbell Causeway. Allow about 35 minutes with no traffic and longer at rush hour.

Getting to the stadium

Checked at the source
Park downtown and walk, about 12 min to Front of the ballpark on Douglas Avenue. Neighborhood lots, about 20 min. Business, church and community center lots around Douglas Avenue, selling from 9 a.m. Bike the Pinellas Trail, about 5 min to Bicycle stands outside the ballpark. Rideshare, about 20 min. Beltrees Street on the north side of the ballpark.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: The Blue Jays ask fans not to bring bags. Soft-sided bags such as diaper bags, medical bags and small purses up to 16 x 16 x 8 inches are allowed. Backpacks, hard-sided coolers and containers are not, and there is no bag storage.
  • Cashless: Not fully cashless, but cards are encouraged. An ATM is on the main concourse behind home plate.

After the final whistle

From a specialist guide
There is no big team lot to empty, so traffic clears faster than at most spring parks. Fans walk back to downtown or to the neighborhood lots, and rideshare cars wait on Beltrees Street. Stopping at a downtown bar for an hour beats the drive back over the causeway at rush hour.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Looking for team parking. No parking is sold at TD Ballpark. Park in the downtown Dunedin garage and walk about half a mile, or pay a local business, church or community center that sells spaces from 9 a.m.
