Shade and cover
Checked at the source- Upper rows of sections 106 to 113, first-base side. The most reliable shade in the ballpark. The first-base (White Sox) side gets shade much earlier than the third-base (Dodgers) side.
- Baseline Terrace, sections 102 to 105. Two 100-foot shade structures on the first-base concourse, added before the 2018 season, cover these sections. Good for families who want a lower price and cover.
- Upper rows of sections 110 to 117 and the last two rows of 119, 120 and 122. For a typical 1:05 p.m. first pitch, rows 16 and up in 110 to 113 and rows 20 and up in 114 to 117 start in shade. By 3 p.m. all of sections 111 to 114 are shaded.
- Concourse above sections 110 to 122. The press box and suites cover this part of the concourse. Stand here if you need a break from the sun.
- Third-base side, sections 118 to 128. Heavily exposed. Expect sun for most of the game.
- Outfield lawn. Almost no shade. A few trees in left-center give a little relief.
