Where visiting fans stay

  • Downtown Cleveland

    Downtown ClevelandVisiting fans pick this

15 min. walk via West 3rd Street or East 9th Street. Huntington Bank Field is not out of town, it sits at the bottom of downtown. The stadium's own site says Tower City Center, the transit hub every RTA line serves including the airport train, is about a 15-minute walk away. Downtown hotels like the Hilton Cleveland Downtown (0.2 miles), Cleveland Marriott Downtown (0.4 miles) and the Westin (0.4 miles) work fine as stadium hotels. The Warehouse District and East 4th Street give you the bars, and the lakefront gives you nothing after the game ends.

Around the stadium

Checked at the source
There's no bar-and-restaurant cluster right at the stadium. The stadium sits boxed in between Lake Erie, the Shoreway and the rail cut, and the official site says you can only reach it on foot via West 3rd or East 9th streets. The nearest real cluster of bars is the Warehouse District, just south of the tracks, which is why downtown is the answer here instead of someplace near the stadium.

Getting to Huntington Bank Field

From Cleveland Hopkins

Checked at the source
Fly into CLE, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. The GCRTA Red Line runs direct from the terminal to Tower City in downtown Cleveland in 30 minutes.

On game day

Checked at the source
Take the GCRTA Waterfront Line (Blue/Green/Waterfront) to West 3rd Street Station. This line runs only on Browns home game days and for select major events, starting in December 2025. Get off at West 3rd Street Station, across the street from the stadium. The line ends at South Harbor Station inside the Muni Lot. Take the GCRTA Red Line from Cleveland Hopkins Airport to Tower City, about 30 min. From Tower City it's about a 15-minute walk to the stadium down West 3rd Street, or you can transfer to the Waterfront Line. You can walk from downtown, about 15 min. You can only get in through West 3rd Street or East 9th Street, both of which cross bridges over the rail cut that separates downtown from the lakefront.

Parking and tailgating at Huntington Bank Field

Tailgating

From a specialist guide
This is the standout find for Cleveland: you can walk up to the Muni Lot tailgate, the most famous one in the AFC, without a car. On Browns home game days the RTA Waterfront Line runs from Tower City past the stadium at West 3rd Street Station and ends at South Harbor Station inside the Municipal Parking Lot itself. RTA even runs a branded VICTORY bus with refreshments in the lot, and the pregame celebration starts two hours before each home game. The one catch is legal, not practical: the city's rules ban open containers, drinking and public intoxication in the lot, which comes from Cleveland Codified Ordinance 617.07 and Ohio Revised Code 4301.62(B), a fourth-degree misdemeanor that's stayed the same wording for four seasons and that the city can't waive. In practice people drink in the lot anyway, and enforcement varies by the day, but plan on the rule being in effect. The Browns and the stadium publish nothing about the Muni Lot, its rules come from the city alone. You're joining tailgates run by other fans, there's no ticketed hospitality setup. The Muni Lot, officially the Cleveland Municipal Parking Lot, is reachable on foot or by the RTA Waterfront Line, which runs from Tower City to South Harbor Station inside the lot on Browns home game days. Pedestrians can enter, and a charge applies that's set per game. For a typical 1 p.m. weekend game, the lot opens at 5 a.m., and for evening games the eastern portion opens at noon with the western portion opening at 5 p.m. Times are set per game, so check the city's game-day notice for your matchup.

Getting in

Checked at the source
  • Bag policy: You can bring a clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no bigger than 12 by 12 by 6 inches, an official NFL team-logo clear tote of the same size, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, or a small non-clear bag up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Diaper bags, nursing bags and medical bags are allowed in after inspection at the medical exception entrances. Any bag that doesn't meet these rules goes to the Bag Check Tent at the stadium's southwest corner, costs $20, card only, and you can pick it up within 30 minutes of the game ending.
  • Re-entry: Re-entry is not allowed. The stadium publishes its own policy on this, separate from the Muni Lot's no in-and-out rule. The only exception cited is a medical emergency.
  • Prohibited items: You can't bring backpacks, binocular cases, camera bags, mesh bags, tote bags, or patterned or tinted plastic bags over 12 by 6 by 12 inches. Umbrellas and strollers aren't allowed inside, but you can check both. Outside drinks aren't allowed, and the usual bans on weapons, drones and fireworks apply. Still cameras are allowed at Browns games as long as they don't bother other fans, and banners and signs are fine as long as they don't block anyone's view.

Touring the stadium

Checked at the source
There are no public stadium tours at Huntington Bank Field on game days or any other day. Only private group tours are offered, arranged by email with Guest Services. Don't plan on a stadium tour as a day-before activity here.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
RTA holds the Waterfront Line open after the game until every rider has cleared West 3rd Street Station, and extra trains keep running as long as they're needed. RTA's 2026 game pages give a fixed return window instead, 60 minutes after the game on one listing and at least 90 minutes according to the Browns, so check the window for your game. On foot, downtown is 15 minutes away, so getting out is easy if you don't have a car. It's only a problem if you drove.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Skip the Brook Park and airport hotel area. It's a 30-minute train ride from everything, and it's where the stadium will be in 2029, not where it is in 2026. Also keep in mind the walking restriction: if your hotel sits east or west of the stadium instead of south of it, you'll still end up funneled to West 3rd or East 9th.

  • Barley House

    Barley House

    1261 W 6th St, Cleveland, OH 44113 (Warehouse District)

Barley House is the default pick in the Warehouse District before a Browns game. It's the name that comes up first in Cleveland Magazine's sports-bar survey and in local forums when people ask where to drink before kickoff.

Away fans: the crowd is mixed, broad downtown trade rather than a bar that leans one way.

  • Noble Beast Brewing Co.
Noble Beast Brewing Co., Google Maps

    Noble Beast Brewing Co.

    1470 Lakeside Ave E, Cleveland, OH 44114

This place is a converted steel warehouse rebuilt by co-founder and head brewer Shaun Yasaki. He's been blunt about the shape it was in, saying it was a total disaster when they got it, before they sandblasted the brick, polished the concrete floors, and cut in windows and a skylight ringed with hanging plants.

Away fans: it's welcoming and mixed, a brewery taproom rather than a bar that picks sides.

  • Harry Buffalo (East 4th)
    Artur Anuszewski, Google Maps

    Harry Buffalo (East 4th)

    2120 E 4th St, Cleveland, OH 44115

It's run by restaurateur Bobby George's Ethos Hospitality Group. East 4th is a pedestrian street closed to traffic, lined with restaurants and lit overhead, one of the few streets downtown with real atmosphere.

Away fans: the crowd is mostly home fans, but it's a public room on a pedestrian dining street.

  • P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub
P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub, Google Maps

    P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub

17119 Lorain Ave, Cleveland, OH 44111 (West Park)

P.J. McIntyre's is the official home of the West Park Browns Backers, a chapter founded in 2021 with 73 members.

Away fans: the crowd is mostly home fans, since it's a chapter clubhouse by definition.
