22 min. walk across the Woodland Street Bridge (the stadium's own recommended fastest route) or the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. The map makes it look like the stadium is across the river and far away, but it isn't. It's about 1.1 miles and a 22-minute walk from downtown, and three bridges cross over to it. Broadway's honky-tonks between the river and Bridgestone Arena, plus 1st and 2nd Avenues north of Broadway, are where all the pre and post game action happens. The east bank has none of it, so stay on the west side and walk both ways.

The GulchVisiting fans pick this
30 min. walk to Broadway then across the bridge, or free WeGo bus on gameday. This spot is ten to fifteen minutes on foot southwest of Broadway, with a better restaurant scene and quieter, pricier hotels. Pick this if you want the game and the city but want to skip the bachelorette party crowds on lower Broadway on a Saturday night. You can still walk easily or take a $2 WeGo ride to the stadium, and WeGo local buses are free on Titans home game days.

East Nashville
20 min. walk from Woodland St. Woodland Street and Shelby Avenue is the local option, and it's the only side of the river the stadium actually sits on. You'll find independent bars and restaurants and cheaper rooms here. The stadium's own transportation page says you can walk from East Nashville at Woodland St. and Shelby Ave. The tradeoff is you're away from Broadway, which for most first-time visitors is the whole point of coming to Nashville.
Around the stadium
From a specialist guide
The east bank around the current Nissan Stadium is just surface parking lots and the construction site for the new stadium. There's no hotel and bar scene over there, and with the new stadium going up right next door, there won't be one this season either. Everything a visiting fan wants, Broadway, 1st and 2nd Avenues, SoBro, is on the west bank. The hotels that show up in searches as 'near the stadium,' like Quality Inn Nashville Downtown Stadium at 0.2 miles, Clarion Hotel Downtown Nashville Stadium at 0.5 miles, and Hotel Indigo at 0.5 miles, are budget places, not a real district.

Woodland Street Bridge (the stadium's recommended fastest crossing), about 22 min. It lands you right at the stadium's northwest side. Nissan Stadium's own transportation page says this bridge, not the more famous pedestrian one, is the fastest way across. John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. This is a 3,150-foot pedestrian-only bridge across the Cumberland, with a 15-foot bike lane down the middle and 10-foot sidewalks on each side. The east end has a pedestrian plaza close to Nissan Stadium. It's the prettier walk and gets heavy use on game day, but it's not the fastest route. WeGo local bus routes 4, 14, 23, 41 and 56 via Elizabeth Duff Transit Center. All buses drop you off on Woodland Street and South 1st Street by the Woodland Street bridge, and WeGo staff are on site. WeGo express park-and-ride services. Woodland Street and South 1st Street, by the Woodland Street bridge.
Parking and tailgating at Nissan Stadium
Tailgating
From a specialist guide
These are two different things, so keep them separate. Real tailgating needs a vehicle: you can only tailgate directly behind your car, tents can be weighted down but not staked into the ground, propane grills are not allowed, and every stadium or club-controlled lot has to be cleared of tailgating gear within 45 minutes after kickoff. If you're on foot, head to the Pinnacle Titan Up Tailgate in the South Plaza by Gates 8 and 9. The Titans run it themselves, and it opens at 10 a.m. for a noon kickoff with live music, tailgate games and drink specials. It's not clear if you need a game ticket to get in. Worth knowing too: fans also gather informally on the bluff across the Cumberland River, on the west bank facing the stadium. Pinnacle Titan Up Tailgate, South Plaza by Gates 8 and 9. No admission charge is advertised, and it's not clear if you need a game ticket to get in. It opens at 10:00 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. CT kickoff, two hours before kickoff, the same time the stadium gates open.

Getting in

Bag policy: Clear bags can be up to 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. Non-transparent bags, wallets and cases can't be bigger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches. One exception worth knowing: enclosed seat cushions with no zippers or metal pieces are allowed, which is unusual since most NFL stadiums ban them. Every gate has a medical lane marked with red signs for people who need accommodations.
Re-entry: The stadium says re-entry isn't allowed, but that statement only appears inside the smoking policy section, not as a general rule in the A-Z guide.
Prohibited items: You can't bring in outside food or drinks, coolers or containers including glass bottles and cans, umbrellas, strollers, baby seats, camera lenses over 6 inches, poles, selfie sticks, weapons, or animals other than service animals. Smoking and vaping are banned everywhere in the stadium, and there are no designated smoking areas.
Touring the stadium
Checked at the source
no-public-tours, There is no public tour product at the current Nissan Stadium at all, not on gameday, not on any other day. The only tours available are private group tours for parties of at least 25, and these run only through December 2026, after which the building goes out of service. Do not offer a stadium tour as part of a 2026 Nashville package. https://nissanstadium.com/stadium-tours/ - > *"At this time, public tours for the current Nissan Stadium are not available."*
After the final whistle
From a specialist guide
There's no official clearance time published for cars. What we do know is that parking lots close two hours after the game, and tailgating in stadium or club-controlled lots has to be cleared within 45 minutes after kickoff. The main thing is that most of the crowd walks out across the bridges into downtown, so if you're on foot you're easy, you're not stuck behind the same bottleneck as the cars.
One thing to avoid
From a specialist guide
Don't book a car or a stadium parking lot. Titans parking needs a permit, downtown garages are cheaper, and WeGo local buses are free on game day, so a car just gets you stuck in a bridge line for nothing. Also don't book a cheap motel out on the far east side thinking you'll walk in. The walk that actually works is from downtown across the bridges, not from out along the river. And if a fan is booking for 2027 or later, let them know they'll be buying tickets for a different, domed stadium.

Acme Feed & Seed

Acme runs a free tailgate and watch party on its second floor and rooftop for every single Titans home game, with doors at 10 a.m. It's a weekly thing, not a one-off.
Away fans: mostly home fans, but it's open door to everyone, free entry, all ages.
Neighbors of Germantown, Google Maps
Neighbors Germantown
313 Jefferson St, Nashville, TN 37208 (Germantown)
Neighbors is the pick if you want the Titans without the Broadway tourist crowd. It's a Germantown neighborhood bar with a Cheers style, everybody-knows-you feel and a dog-friendly patio, and on Titans Sundays it leans into it with blue Titans tea and $2 blue jello shots, both team colored and cheap enough to be about the ritual, not the money.
Away fans: mostly home fans.
HQ Nashville
114 2nd Ave S, Nashville, TN 37201 (SoBro)
HQ claims one of the largest screens in downtown Nashville, which makes it the pick for a group that wants to actually watch the game instead of glancing at a TV between songs. It started as Headquarters Beercade, and the arcade roots are still there with retro cabinets next to the bar, which gives it an unpretentious feel in a stretch of downtown that mostly isn't.
Away fans: mixed crowd, shows the full NFL slate.

Broadway Brewhouse
Broadway, Lower Broadway, Nashville (street number unconfirmed)
If your fan wants Lower Broadway without a live band drowning out the commentary, this is the spot. The Nashville Downtown Partnership's guide calls it out for having televisions facing every direction and, just as important, no live music, which on that street actually sets it apart instead of being a downside.
Away fans: mixed crowd, Broadway is a tourist strip.
