Getting in

  • Bag policy: Small bags up to 16 x 16 x 8 inches, clutches, manufactured diaper bags and medical bags are allowed. Large bags and hard-sided coolers are not. Soft-sided coolers are allowed after inspection.

Touring the stadium

Public tours cost $20 ($18 military). Book online or in the MLB Ballpark app, or call Fan Services at 216-420-HITS. Tours start and end at the Team Store on Ontario Street. The 2026 schedule ends September 24, so no tours run during the ALCS.

After the final whistle

Checked at the source
Most carless fans walk back to Tower City through the Walkway, which stays open 90 minutes after the event. RTA guarantees Rapid service home for 60 minutes after the game, even in extra innings. To beat the crowd, wait 30 minutes at an East 4th Street bar, or leave a few minutes before the last out.

One thing to avoid

From a specialist guide
Driving in without a prepaid parking pass. Postseason parking is limited, garage passes are mobile-only and you cannot enter more than 3 hours before first pitch. Take the Rapid instead.

Seats and shade at Progressive Field

Where the sun lands on a day game, and which seats stay dry when it rains.

Shade and cover

From a specialist guide
  • Upper deck infield, sections 469-478 and 570-577. Among the first seats in the ballpark to get shade.
  • Section 521, rows P and higher. Rows P and up sit under cover, which helps in rain.
  • Mezzanine outfield, sections 303, 307 and 311, rows M and higher. The back rows are under cover, but these sections are among the last to get shade on a sunny day.
  • October night games, all sections. Sun is not the issue for ALCS night games. Average October lows are in the mid 40s, so pick covered rows to stay out of rain and dress for wind.
