Getting in
Checked at the source- Bag policy: Bags must be smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches and soft sided. Diaper bags, medical bags, small purses and small backpacks are fine. Hard-sided coolers are not allowed. Every bag is searched, and there is no bag storage.
- Cashless: The ballpark is cashless and has no ATMs. Reverse ATMs that load cash onto a prepaid Visa card are at Sections 110 (inside the Jays Shop), 141, 212, 236, 508 and 532. Prices are in Canadian dollars, so use a card with no foreign transaction fee.
- Re-entry and alcohol: There is no re-entry, and the building is smoke free, including vaping and cannabis. Beer sales at stands end after the seventh inning, but the Corona Rooftop Patio in the 500 Level right field serves until the end of the ninth. Staff check ID for anyone who looks 40 or younger, and you can hold two drinks at a time.

Bars near the stadium

255 Bremner Blvd, Toronto, ON
A brewery inside the historic John Street Roundhouse across from the ballpark, pouring its own pilsner with a kitchen, taproom and patio. It runs pregame tailgates and is close enough that you can hear the home run bell from the patio.
Away fans: a huge, mixed crowd of locals and tourists. Visiting colors draw friendly ribbing at most.
Daniel Lochand, Google Maps The Pint Public House
277 Front St W, Toronto, ON
A 950-seat sports bar and restaurant with 100 TVs, steps from the ballpark on Front Street. It fills by 5pm before night games, and a second wave arrives after the final out.
Away fans: a big room full of home fans, but used to visiting crowds from across the street.
Loose Moose / Antler Room, Google Maps The Loose Moose
146 Front St W, Toronto, ON
A downtown bar since 1989 with more than 50 beers on tap, many of them Canadian craft. Portions are big, and a basement room hosts local bands.
Away fans: a lively downtown bar with plenty of out-of-towners, so away jerseys fit in.
Corona Rooftop Patio
1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto, ON M5V 1J1 (500 Level right field, near Section 508)
An open-air standing area high in right field, part of the Outfield District. It is the one spot in the ballpark that keeps serving alcohol after the seventh inning.
Away fans: a ticketed home crowd. Expect chirps, not trouble.

Seats and shade at Rogers Centre
Where the sun lands on a day game, and which seats stay dry when it rains.
Shade and cover
From a specialist guide- Every seat. When the roof is closed, the whole ballpark is covered and dry. The team opens the roof as often as the weather allows, and it takes about 20 minutes to close if rain moves in.
- 200 Level on the third base side, sections 227 to 231. These sections get shade even during day games with the roof open.
- 100 and 200 Level on the first base side. The first base side gets the most sun in afternoon games with the roof open. Bring sunscreen and a hat.
- 500 Level left field outfield sections. These seats have the best overhead cover on the upper deck and feel enclosed even with the roof open.
- 500 Level down the third base line. More shade and cover than the matching seats down the first base line.
